THE WITCHES' REVIVAL
Wisewoman Calls us Home!
Talks and Workshops Programme
Initiating ourselves into the Wisewoman archetype invites us to journey deep within to discover parts of ourselves we might not even know were there! She offers us the opportunity to explore a number of themes such as ancestral connection, healing and herbal medicine, life and death, telling our stories, finding our voices, grief and loss, setting boundaries, the wisdom of experience, facing our shadows, and embracing our creativity.
Our talks and workshop schedule is designed to support you to explore these themes and more, in a safe and supportive environment, held by experienced facilitators and a circle of dedicated volunteers.
Using the framework of "initiation" and rites of passage, we invite you to journey through the three stages as you work to fully claim your inner Wisewoman.
1. Letting go of the old and what no longer serves
2. Exploring and discovering the new possibilities and potential
3. Homecoming - Being witnessed and supported by our community
Each morning, our opening ceremony will introduce the stage we are focusing on that day and help prepare you for the day ahead.
You will then get to choose a morning and an afternoon session to explore whatever and wherever you feel called to - both sessions are included in your ticket price.
All talks and workshop sessions are 2 hours long and you will be able to pre-book them at morning registration each day.
There are 5 diverse sessions on offer each morning and afternoon and something for everyone, regardless of where you are on your healing path.
We are thrilled to be welcoming back a number of our Speakers and Facilitators from last year, as well as welcoming a number of new ones, all of whom bring something unique to the Wisewoman theme.
Read on to see who is on each day (this may be subject to last minute unavoidable changes).
(Please note that on Sunday there will be a morning session of talks/workshops only. The afternoon will be a very special "Wisewoman's Homecoming Ceremony" for everyone to attend).

Death is inextricably bound up with life even though our culture tries to hide this from us. Death has so much wisdom to teach us about relationships, honesty and the preciousness of each moment. Come and share in this glorious feast of stories as we allow death to be our life coach, and maybe share one of your own.
Using words, meditation, and ritual Liz will take you on a journey to explore your responses to death and take time to notice and appreciate your aliveness. There will be stories and silence, talking and very likely tears and laughter as we accept Wisewoman's invitation to create a space for death in the midst of life.
Liz will share stories from her uplifting and informative book Outside the Box – Everyday Stories of Death, Bereavement and Life and offer an opportunity for reflection and discussion.
She will share with you what death has taught her over her many decades of working in the field.
Getting closer to death makes life sweeter. Talking about death makes us all less lonely and frightened. It's a topic that brings depth and richness to all of our lives.
All mortals welcome! Tears and laughter guaranteed.
About Liz:
Liz works with the dying and the bereaved. She did not plan that. Life just took her that
way. It has taught her to appreciate the value of every human being and kept her reminded
of the extraordinariness of being alive.

ground for many decades, and edited two books of stories of death and life. She founded the
Kicking the Bucket festival and tours her one person show Outside the Box – A Live show

Standing in the Fire of Your Wisdom - Embodying Your Authenticity
Join Carly as she invites you to stand in the fire of the wisdom inherently embodied within you. That is, to dare to be all that you are - unedited.

Using movement, voice, poetry and the ceremonial practice of standing in the presence, Carly will facilitate you to explore your authenticity and move with it.
Can you risk being fully seen, not just as you want to be, or don’t want to be, but as you are?

Stories & A Sense of Place - Harking the Call to Home
According to the Aborigine, there are three layers of dreaming that represent aspects of what they term Dreamtime (a sense of belonging);
Personal, Historical and Myth.
Every culture has its own Dreamtime, and stories, down the centuries, both in the oral and literary traditions, have provided popular means of retaining it.
Join Ursula in this powerful session as she invites you to consider your own sense of belonging. How does our relationship with place connect us now and with the past? And beyond that, with which version of it? The one that we've been fed by the systems that surround us? Or, the one that we carry in the fibres of our being?
Bring your journal and pen and prepare to come home like never before.
About Ursula:
Ursula is a Drama therapist, currently specializing in Early Intervention Psychosis, who’s fascinated and frequently heartbroken by the age-old relationship between mental health, poverty and complex trauma.
With a background in Storytelling she has spent many a happy hour researching, walking the terrain and tale telling on the good folk of her beloved West Yorkshire and native Lancashire border lands who long ago learned how to survive and even thrive there.
Though she tries to dodge performing at all costs in every aspect of her life these days, storytelling continues to inform much of her practice and she loves messing with music, movement and real-life observation (or ‘history, mystery and washing’ to quote Lewis Carroll), to connect people of all GGRRAAACCEEESSS with their creativity.

Unveiling Wisewoman - A Creative Journey of Somatic Movement and Film
Join Sara for an inspiring session as she shares the outcome of a collaborative creative process with a collective of women.
After 8 weeks of deep diving into the inner realms of somatic experience, exploring the treasures held within Embodied Inner Wisdom, Sara along with Viv Slack, Emily Webster and Nikki Disney have created a wonderful and rich film documentary which is being showcased at The Witches' Revival.
The project takes them on a brave and intimate journey through creative arts healing practices, weaving together inner witnessing with guided somatic movement explorations, free drawing and writing, shamanic journeying, earth and nature connections, voice and breath work.
This rich and empowering process has been captured through the medium of film that shares their lived experience in relation to the inner Wisewoman.
